In the summer of 2025, the Department of Electronics, Automation, Robotics, and mechatronics at National UniversityChernihiv Polytechnic significant work was carried out to upgrade the laboratory benches supplied by the company B&R.
Third-year undergraduates from group PE-221, specialising in 171 – Electronics, within the study programme: Electronics of Robotic Systems and Complexes (now known as specialisation G5: Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrumentation and Radio Engineering): Parkhomets Vladyslav Ruslanovych, Yarmolenko Liubomyr Andriiovych and Zavalii Vladyslav Yuriiovych During their work placement, they carried out tasks such as maintaining the relevant equipment and preparing it for the new academic year.
Diagnostic tests were carried out, software updates were performed, the new computers were configured to work with the test benches, and a project featuring a visual interface was created to demonstrate the capabilities of the test benches. As a result, the equipment is ready for use in teaching during the new academic year, including on the ‘Industrial Controllers’ course.
The students’ work served as an example of initiative, technical proficiency and teamwork. The results achieved will benefit future students and enable them to gain practical skills using examples of modern industrial automation equipment.
