On September 1, 2026, as part of the "First-Year Student School" program, Chernihiv Polytechnic held inaugural lectures by leading professionals for first-year students across all institutes.

For first-year students of our Institute of Electronic and Information Technologies, the lecture was delivered by Oleksii Lukin, Senior Engineer on the MySQL team at Percona. He shared his professional experience, spoke about current trends in the IT industry, and outlined the key competencies future specialists will need.

In parallel, students from other institutes heard from Valerii Patskan (Accounting Chamber), Serhii Khamaiko (Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office), Oksana Petrenko (Veterans Policy Department of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration), Maksym Polianskyi (PET-Technologies), and Oleh Rafalskyi (Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).

Our thanks to Oleksii Lukin for an insightful and inspiring lecture that helped first-year students better picture their professional future in IT!
