Chernihiv Polytechnic is working on an interdepartmental project, "Development of an Intelligent Monitoring Geoinformation Platform for Territorial Communities Affected by Armed Conflict and Technogenic Disasters," led by I.V. Korniyenko, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor.
The initiative aims to improve public safety, economic efficiency, and the quality of management decisions through an open, intelligent GIS monitoring platform for state authorities, local government, departmental institutions, and the private sector. The pilot community is Novobilouska territorial community: on February 17, 2026, the university team held an organizational meeting with its leadership — head D.O. Fedorov and deputy head for financial and municipal affairs A.M. Kruhol. The parties agreed to set up a working group and develop a detailed cooperation plan.
On April 23, 2026, an expanded online meeting was held via Microsoft Teams with the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the Desnianskyi Basin Management Authority, the regional forestry service, and the State Institution for Soil Protection. The platform is planned to integrate with the databases of emergency services and the mine clearance center, turning arrays of complex data into clear, actionable algorithms — supporting proactive safety and the region's economic recovery.
